The band has been together since 2002. In 5 short years has come from winning its first small local battle of the bands to playing in front of some of the industry's most respectable acts like: Static-X, Simple Plan, Ludacris, Hoobastank, Cold, Three Days Grace, and dozens more. In 2003, Sofakingz placed 3rd in a nationwide battle of the bands, representing the northeast and being the only heavy act in the country that made it to the finals.
Sofakingz was started in Atlanta, Ga. by brothers Chad and Judd Foster. After 2 years of hip-hop driven Atlanta, Working in Sony-AMI studios with producer Anthony Dent.( whose credits include Puff Daddy, and Destiny's Child) Sofakingz moved back to the Northeast after an unfortunate series of unreliable musicians and events. There they acquired bassist Ron Fowler and drummer Art Marotta. Two extremely talented musicians whose talents propelled them to the level they are at today.
Sofakingz quickly became known as a band with the drive, the love, the tools and aspirations to make it to the highest levels of their profession!

Present Day
The last two years, have brought many changes to the Sofakingz. They slowly began to re-tool their sound and shows. Bringing the same hardcore and exciting shows they became known for, they began to mix in this new re-tool. They made subtle changes to the existing song library, including retiring, if you will, others. As this happened over the last two years, a new sound, a new band had been born. Finishing up this winter (07-08) in the studio with their Sophmore album, the Sofakingz have become 'Arms Ready'! The same four members who made the Sofakingz the "must see, must be at" upstate band, have grown, and become stonger musicians and a stronger band. With a new Southern Hardcore Metal (creating their own genre) sound, Arms Ready is sure to take over the local and regional band scene as they make their way into the "professional" music business, and in turn into history.
I have brought you some of the new, un-mastered, un-released songs that Arms Ready is currently working on in the studio. They hope that giving these songs away, that you will share the wealth that is great music, that of which is produced by this new band!
